It's been a long time since I last posted!
Chemo is finished; radiotherapy finished; hair has grown back!!
To all intents and purposes I'm back to normal - but of course I'm not! My joints ache and I feel fatigued as side effects from my cancer blocking drug. I'm not as tolerant as I was. I appreciate the friends who have stood by me and supported me through my treatment - as for the others who couldn't or wouldn't, well I don't chase after them.
Work is difficult - I really don't want the stress any more. Hopefully soon I will just give it up and concentrate on me. We will be very short of money, but as I don't know if or when the cancer will come back, I want to enjoy life, not be too tired from work to do anything in my spare time.
Life is definitely for living and making the most of.
Jamie and I spent the weekend at a Star Trek Convention in London! Touched knuckles with Data (Brent Spiner) and got to meet some of the other stars - fabulous!
We spent some time in London in the summer. Watched GB ladies play Olympic football at Wembley and then spent a day in the Olympic Park - amazing!
Ro and I also spent a day in the Victoria and Albert museum too. We will also be spending a day at the Clothes Show Live in December.
Am hoping to still make and sell some of my craft stuff to help bring in the pennies - but work keeps getting in the way!
Watch this space - I'm not finished yet xx

Too tired!
Still feel really tired and this is supposed to be my best week, just before next chemo!
Done a bit of sorting, just about to do more! Might even summon up enough energy to make a couple of necklaces - can't sell them if I don't make them.
Had visit from Izzy and Jacob yesterday. Also made more flapjacks for the kids to take to school and work. My problem is, I do actually get stuff done, but then wonder why I feel so tired! Slept better last night, so might eventually start to feel less tired!
Feeling bit down today, found out that person covering for me at work is making changes which shouldn't be done and now don't know what I will be going back to.
Never mind, tomorrow I will be more positive.

Changed Life
Well it is just over a year since I last posted and my, how my life has changed!
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in January and my life has revolved around that since.
I had the lump and lymph nodes successfully removed in February and started my follow-up chemotherapy on April 18th. I am signed off from work and when well enough from the chemo just potter around.
I'm hoping to start making jewellery with a pink theme to sell to raise money for the Breast Care Unit.
Today I also planted out one of my, grown from seed, tomato plants.
Friends have been amazingly supportive and by heck, do you learn who cares about you!

Growing things
Today I've potted on some of the veggie plants I have grown from seed. I have 3 varieties of tomato, chillies, peppers, oregano, coriander. I've also planted some Charlotte potatoes and potted up a strawberry plant, which is now sat indoors in the hope of getting some early fruit and saving it from the slugs and birds! I've also sown some salad leaves and potted up a bit of mint and they are both on the kitchen windowsill.
When I get more compost I'll sow some more veggies. The courgettes and aubergines are just popping up.

latest
Well, I've started a new blog to chart my attempts at decluttering!
Considering that I am still recovering from my French flu, I've made quite a good start!
Watch this space - or the other would be better 'declutter? Me? Haha'

Contemplation
Well, I'm sat here at work
Loads to do
Enthusiasm level not good
I need to shake myself up
If I cross stuff off my seemingly never ending list
I might feel more positive
I'll let you know
